Located in the heart of Colombia's coffee zone, Montenegro is also home to the National Coffee Park. Founded by the Colombian Coffee Federation, the park hosts numerous thematic attractions based on Colombian history and the country's thriving coffee culture. The rural landscape of Montenegro is typical of the coffee zone.
Tourist sites such as: arrieros park, mama lulu farm, colombia balloons, Canopy the Caracolies, the paradise of Bambu and the Guadua, Balsaje the Rios, in addition to different spas.

Typical food of the region: trout with patacón, rice with chorizo or rice with chicken, and paisa tray, which among other things includes beans, chorizo, chicharrón and egg; and the mazamorra, which contains milk, corn and panela, are characteristic dishes of the municipality of Montenegro.
