Santa Elena



Santa Elena is a Colombian corregimiento. It is belongs to El Cerrito. It is characterized by its tourist vocation and landscape value, and by being located in this village property with heritage value such as Hacienda El Paraíso and Hacienda Pie de Chinche.
You can find a variety of things to do, including eating the most delicious typical foods, visiting the farms “fincas” and important places. You can also simply be in the main park and spend a nice afternoon with your family and friends. You can do activies like sport fishing, paragliding, sports days, paintball, ride a horse, visit touristic places and more. If you are in june, you can go to La Feria de La Uva Isabela. This festival is one of the most important there.
The most important hotels are Hotel Siga La Vaca, Hotel El Edén Resort, Hotel el Mesón de La Sierra, Hacienda Piedemonte, Hotel, Casa de La Sierra, Posada La Esperanza. You can also rent a farm to spend time with your family in the village. You can go to El Balneario Hostal Piedemonte, El Centro Recreacional Palos Verdes, La Finca Recreacional El Reflejo.
The most delicious restaurants are Restaurante Siga La Vaca, Restaurante Sabor Criollo, Restaurante Hostal Piedemonte, Restaurante Asados del Paraíso, Restaurante La Mellicerea, Restaurante Los Delfines (sport fishing), Restaurante El Edén and more.
When you are in Santa Elena, you can visit La Hacienda El Paraíso. Jorge Isaacs was inspired in this place for write “María”. You can also visit La Hacienda Pie de Chinche and El Museo de la Caña, La Iglesia San Pedro Apóstol. You can also go out dancing and enjoy the night in the village.
The food is one of the best things there. You can eat Sancocho en fogón de lecha, tostadas de plátano with ahogado, sancocho de pescado, papas rellenas and papas aborrajadas,  plátano aborrajado, tamales, lechonas, rellenas, arepa, fast food and all the typical colombian food.
